de la Vega Architects is the two of us: Lynette and Alejandro de la Vega.  We have been practicing together with our own creative signature since 1983, having met at architecture school in 1979.  Projects started in Brisbane, but soon took us to the US, Singapore, The Philippines, Dubai, Argentina, and all over Australia. 

Our unique creative perspective is at the heart of every project that we have ever been involved in.  Over the years, due to our entrepreneurial spirit, our design projects have turned into thriving businesses.  Each one of these businesses has been founded on the concept of giving in the form of a meaningful experience to the customer that can only come from full involvement.  

Café and restaurant design expanded into running five successful operations - Zigolini’s and Trezini’s in Sydney and Melbourne - and over 50 similar client projects around Australia.

Most recently, creative urges have led the family to found a health company Passion Projects, based on Lynette’s lifetime passion for fitness and nutrition, and a specific need to look after their son’s health. 

Our interest lies in approaching projects with both passionate enthusiasm and the intention of exceeding expectations.  We believe that there is always a creative solution to any problem regardless of the constraints.  With this attitude, Alejandro has become an expert at dealing with authorities, particularly councils. This combination - problem solving with the desire for design excellence and craftsmanship - is what de la Vega Architects is known for. 

Architectural projects, with design, project management and property development, have also incorporated other related disciplines including industrial, product, superyacht, interior, furniture and graphic design.  Lynette’s paintings and sculptural installations have formed an integral part of the fabric of most architectural projects as well. 

de la Vega Architects have created a vast number of finishes and fittings that are considered to be industry standard today. 

The purpose of all of our projects is that they reflect a sense of quality and integrity delivering the best outcome in the most sustainable way.  We think long-term and always place ourselves in the perspective of the user.  

As a creative group, we only take on projects that we are passionate about, as above all, we love to say that we love our work and the people we work with!
